Lance

Last week it was The Gonz, this week Lance Armstrong gets some Adequate exposure.
This is a little snap of him watching Bon Iver at the recent Austin City Limits festival. Sandy Carson.com has just been shooting some photos of Lance at the big mountain bike race he has at his ranch.

Holy Qrap. Iraqi Adequate Ride.

Thanks to Heather for sneaking her camera out on the street for a bit of real investigative bike-trend spotting in Iraq.

Mark Gonzales. The Gonz.

A hero of mine and probably a hero to every other skateboarder, The Gonz.
Only he would set up a deck like that, only he could ride a deck like that, only he would skate in the wet like that.

Austin and the Quim Creeper

SandyCarson.com sent me a snap of the latest ride to add to his collection (1986 Benotta with full Campy groupset) and a few from Hell o ween with the Quim Reeper............which reminds me of a joke.
I was making a salad the other night, I was cutting up the carrots when there was a knock on the door. I answered it, only to find the grim reeper, he came in and helped me.
I love dicing with death.

Sunny, winter ride to Chester

The first day of winter saw a few of us take a ride on the virtually traffic free lanes of the Wirral. He headed out to Eureka Cyclist Cafe, this is a favourite spot of mine. A pint of tea in a cafe that is heaped in cycling history with literally dozens of friendly cyclists. After that we rode onto an ace cycle path where the Adequate Optimum Speed of 17mph was created. This path runs alongside the River Dee and heads into Chester.

Swelbow

After the Halloween scalleycat I started my ride back home going downhill on Hardman Street. Towards the bottom of the hill I started to pull a skid, my foot came out of it's loosened straps and I watched myself in slow motion go over the bars. I was pretty lucky, the traffic managed not to hit me but it didn't stop and I walked away with a few scrapes.
A couple of hours later my knee, hip and elbow were starting to swell. I thought it best to take a shower and try and clean the wounds. My elbow was huge and when the cut opened up, literally a fountain of blood squirt upwards and eventually a good chunk of fatty tissue emerged from the open wound.

Halloween Scalleycat (Part 1)

A few decorated bikes, a few costumes, a few dark graveyard checkpoints, a few riders from Yorkshire and Manchester and a Police roadside stoppage. A good race with a bit of hectic traffic.
