Skateboard benches

Old skateboards, new benches.

Waiting for paint to dry

If you ever looked at my instagram thing then you'd have noticed the two skateboard benches that I have made. I started painting them and had to wait for the masked off areas to dry, so, I drew this while waiting. It made me think about the life drawing classes that I did a few years ago. The tutor said I wasn't quick or loose enough to get a sence of figure, to help me, 'wrestle' with the easel, he gave me a large graphite stick and 15 minutes to draw each pose. 15 minutes later......... This image is fictional
, any resemblance to persons living or dead is purely coincidental.

As for the caption, I'm not totally sure but I think it may be a quote from Kurt Cobain?

Bike storeage

This is my bike store under my stairs. It's got a bit of a theme going on. Cowbell lightpull and painted walls. The bunting was taken from when the Tour was in Yorkshire.

Andy Howell in my kitchen

When I was in Philly I managed to purchased these two signed prints, 'Feed The Family' and 'Choice Cuts' by Andy Howell, whose skate, oversized, bold graphics made me wish I could paint or draw with such a unique style. After a decade I eventually hung them in a suitable place. I still can't paint or draw with any style.

Ed the Templeton

In early 2001 I went and stayed with Robbie Reid in Philadelphia. He knew there was an Ed Templeton show on, I had always liked Ed for his 'pervy' photographs and Toy Machine graphics and adverts. When we got to the gallery the show had finished but the lady was kind enough to give me this show poster.
Many years later Sandycarson.com went to a show of Ed and his wife, Sandy got me a show poster, signed, with a personal drawing on it.
